NTL is an enterprise that actively supports the development of sports and a healthy lifestyle among its employees, their family members, partners, friends and all residents. Recall that in the spring of 2024, the NTL hockey team was created, which won the Svetogorsk Championship among labor collectives. Now the champions themselves are hosting guests on the ice: NTL Packing is the organizer and main sponsor of the competition. On October 5, at the ice arena of the Svetogorsk sports and recreation complex, the NTL players met with the first participants of the tournament, the Vyborg Hawks.

Our team approached the new hockey season refreshed and prepared. According to coach Alexander Alekseenko and captain Vadim Bogdanov, training continued throughout the summer.

The game turned out to be a difficult one, NTL’s opponents were strong and experienced. For the first two periods, the leadership shifted from our hockey players to the Hawks, and by the third period we had a 2-1 lead in favor of the Vyborg team. It was this moment that became crucial for the whole match. During the break, the coach managed to support and motivate the players and give them some valuable tactical advice. This helped our guys to mobilize all their forces and turn the tide of the game in their favor. The result of the match: 3:2 in favor of “NTL Packing”. Ilya Zamyatin (2) and Ivan Gordeev (1) scored the winning goals against their opponents.

On October 19, as part of the NTL Packing Cup, Vyborg Hawks played with Olympian, and NTL played with the Svetogorsky CBK team.

If we trace the recent history of amateur hockey in Svetogorsk, we can recall that in the spring of 2024, as part of the city’s Championship among labor collectives, the NTL and SCBC teams met twice — one victory and one defeat each. Therefore, both the players and the fans were wondering how their confrontation would turn out this time.

Looking ahead, let’s say right away: the match ended with the victory of Svetogorsk Central Bank with a score of 6:2. Commenting on the results of the game, Alexander Grigorievich Dibrivny, the tournament referee and chief sports specialist at the Svetogorsk Cultural and Sports Complex, noted that he was particularly impressed by the dedication with which the NTL hockey players approached the game. The fact is that due to technical reasons, the team did not come out in full force that day, some players in the status of the main ones could not attend the match. This affected the course of the game, but the referee noted that after the first two periods, when the leadership of the Central Bank was especially demotivating (3-0), the NTLOV team did not give up, did not give up ahead of time and continued the desperate team struggle. The result of this struggle were two goals scored by Vadim Nemakov and Ilya Zamyatin.

The Hawks and Olympian were next on the ice. Their fight was very intriguing, as the rivals went toe-to-toe throughout almost the entire match. It was only closer to the finals that the Hawks managed to establish a lead and finish the game with a score of 5:4.

On October 26, Svetogorsky CBK and Vyborg Hawks met on the ice as part of the tournament. Both teams are strong, having proved themselves worthy rivals in previous games, so the fans expectedly received a lot of emotions and impressions from this eventful match.

Really great hockey was shown by men who were strong in mind and body! The game did not leave any chances for either team during all three periods. The SCBC was slightly in the lead, but the Hawks are also powerful opponents who have shown that it is necessary to fight with any result. They were constantly “catching up” on the score and striving for victory. In total, 14 goals were scored during the match, of which 8 were sent to the gates of Vyborg by the players of Svetogorsky CBK and 6 were scored by the Hawks.
