The strength of the team lies in leadership, support and a common goal!

On August 16 and 17, a two-day team building training was held at the NTL Packing production base. It was attended by the heads and employees of the company’s departments and representative offices in St. Petersburg.

Igor Ivanov, a leading business coach at BFG Consulting, which has been cooperating with him for five years, raised topical issues that could hinder the teamwork of the team. The so—called vices of the team — distrust, irresponsibility, undemanding, fear of mistakes – are typical for many. Mistakes are especially clearly visible in the environment of top management, because then they descend to all levels of the hierarchy of the enterprise. Therefore, the participants had to not only listen to the coach’s lectures, but also simulate popular work situations in the format of a role-playing game, identify and work out problematic points.

During the training, working communications were touched upon from the point of view of the concept of transactional analysis according to Eric Berne, when communication takes place in three different states — child, parent and adult. The training participants learned to react from an adult’s perspective — consciously, with understanding and taking into account a common goal, as well as to work out their own negative beliefs. According to Igor Ivanov, most people (and the training participants are no exception) believe that conflicts should be avoided. But that’s not really the case. Conflict is a powerful growth area for humans. You need to enter into a conflict and make it constructive. Moreover, it is necessary to get rid of such negative attitudes as the fear of appearing vulnerable in the eyes of the team.

The strength of the team is leadership, the strength of the team is support, the strength of the team is a common goal.
