The NTL Packing technological equipment park has been replenished with new products, which were described by chief technologist Andrey Yuryevich Tselikov.
First of all, it is a new bobbin cutter from the German company Kampf, the absolute leader in the production of high-end equipment in the flexible packaging segment. This is a new generation machine that not only has improved functionality, but is also much more impressive in its external characteristics — a huge LCD display, user-friendly and understandable to the operator, LED backlight.
The machine is more compact, and the table for gluing the canvas is conveniently located. There are a number of technological options that significantly increase work efficiency and make it easier for operators:
The new Kampf bobbin cutter is the first machine in the NTL Packing line to have a label counter. This parameter is crucial for some customers. Previously, our experts calculated it by recalculating the printing step and running meters. Now the machine reads the number of labels from the photo label on its own, and this is an absolutely accurate result without errors.
Another interesting feature is the eccentric shafts to improve the quality of thin film winding.
As part of the delivery, disc knives were purchased for the possible expansion of cutting materials and the product range in the future, supervision was carried out by the supplier’s specialists and staff training was conducted. The relevant skills and knowledge were transferred to our operators, as well as to the specialists of the repair and maintenance service. Moreover, the manufacturer has carried out diagnostics of the Kampf equipment already available at the enterprise and has drawn up a protocol with recommendations that are currently being successfully implemented.
Another “newcomer” to the printing sector is the 10th intermat in the Lemo line of machines. Today, Lemo intermats are gradually replacing Hudson-Sharp machines, which are being decommissioned. The new intermates are more efficient in terms of finished product output — the actual output is 225,000 packages in 12 hours, which is a high figure that exceeds Hudson-Sharp’s output by 60%.
According to Andrey Tselikov, another new intermat will be launched in the next three months.
“The company is developing intensively and extensively,” commented Andrey Yurievich. — A long—term Development Plan has been approved, and these changes in the equipment fleet are the next steps in the implementation of the plan. We constantly analyze our production process and the results of our work. There comes a time when the operation of old machines becomes impractical. Their efficiency decreases, and repair costs increase. Therefore, decisions are being made to replace a part of the equipment. Morally and physically outdated machines are being replaced by modern, successful analogues that we can use more efficiently.”
